Man with dementia reported missing found safe, according to JSO

Mr. McGlothin has been located safe, according to JSO.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Police are searching for a missing man and needs the community’s help.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said Johnny McGlothin, 59, was reported missing from the area of Lane Avenue and Normandy Boulevard.

Police said he was reported missing at 8:45 a.m. Thursday and was last known to be at his home.

It is believed that McGlothin walked away and police want to make sure he is OK.

JSO said he has dementia and uses a cane when walking.

He’s described as 5′10″ and weighs 125 pounds.

Police are unsure of what he was last seen wearing.
