EverBank Field festivities boost tourism numbers in July

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — EverBank Field’s festivities last month helped Jacksonville’s tourism numbers in July.

The Jacksonville Jaguars revealed the largest video boards in the world, hosted a Fulham vs. DC United soccer match, and a Carrie Underwood Concert on July 26.

Friday’s occupancy and average daily rate grew 2.5 pervent compared to the same weekend in 2013.  Occupancy was up 10.1 percent on Saturday.

The average daily hotel rate was up 4.6 percent over the same period of time last year.

More than 1,400 room nights were sold on Saturday than the same Saturday in 2013.
