Action News Jax Exclusive: Inside Donald Trump's plane during maintenance in Brunswick

BRUNSWICK, Ga. — From the gold and leather seats and light fixtures, to the metallic gold flakes in his name on the side of his Boeing 757 jet, everything in Donald Trump’s plane was hand-picked for his life in the skies.

Action News Jax reporter Brittany Jones got an exclusive look inside the plane Wednesday.

The plane has several TVs, a lounge area and even a bedroom.

When Trump’s plane requires service or maintenance, it is flown to Stambaugh Aviation in Brunswick, Georgia. Scott Stambaugh is the Director of Maintenance at the aviation company.

"It is an honor -- something that the guys enjoy working on," Scott Stambaugh said.

Stambaugh Aviation is a family-owned business that's been doing maintenance and inspections on Trump's multimillion-dollar jet for five years. It's a job Stambaugh said the workers take very seriously.

“Mr. Trump doesn’t remove any of his personal items from the airplane,” Scott Stambaugh said.

The company provides services to several major companies and employs about 100 people.

Scott Stambaugh said Trump’s plane being serviced in Brunswick is a good impact on the local community.

"It's certainly playing a role this election season, and they're thankful to bring big business to Brunswick," Scott Stambaugh said.

Mark Stambaugh is the original founder of Stambaugh Aviation back in 1969. He said it's an honor to service Trump's plane.

“A man like Trump can go anywhere in the world he wants, and the fact that he picks Stambaugh Aviation in Brunswick, Georgia -- I'm proud of that,” Mark Stambaugh said.

Trump’s plane is maintained and inspected at the family-owned aviation company at least two times a year.
