Fatal accident in Jacksonville Arlington neighborhood

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reported a crash with life threatening injuries around 2260 University Blvd early Tuesday morning, which resulted in the death of a person on a motorcycle.

JSO says they responded to an accident that occurred just before 2 a.m. Monday, and when they arrived at the location officers found a victim with injuries.

The victim was transported to a hospital where they later died, according to JSO.

Officers investigating the scene of the accident say the victim on the motorcycle hit a car that was disabled in the southbound lane of University Blvd.

JSO says no one else was injured and the investigation is ongoing.

The name of the victim has not been released.
