FDOT asks for community's help with Fuller Warren Bridge expansion

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Concern from residents has the Florida Department of Transportation modifying its plan for the Interstate 95 Interstate 10 Overland Bridge Project.

The $70 million project was introduced in December 2013 due to safety concerns about Fuller Warren Bridge.

The plan includes bike lanes added to the Fuller Warren Bridge.

Now the FDOT says it's tweaking the plan hoping to minimize areas of digital lighting, putting retention ponds to better use and minimizing the impact on the riverside arts market.

The FDOT is holding an open meeting for feedback on Aug. 28 at 4 p.m. at the Cummer Museum.
