Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department was called to a fire at 6:15 am at West 8th Street and Myrtle Avenue.
Action News Jax reporter Russell Colburn is on the scene.
JFRD Chief Robin Gainey said the two-story structure had flames on the first floor and second floor, as well as the attic.
Twenty-five firefighters helped contain the fire in about 20 minutes.
The building was unoccupied, but did have power. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, according to JFRD.
