House catches fire near Episcopal School of Jacksonville

Smoke could be seen from miles away after a house caught fire near Episcopal School of Jacksonville on Saturday.

Jacksonville Fire Rescue was called to the home on Rover Point Road at 3:40 p.m.

A neighbor told Action News Jax flames were 30 feet high.

Firefighters said no one was inside when the flames started.

Two cars in the garage, reportedly a  were destroyed.

The cars were reportedly a Porsche and Mercedes.

JFRD posted a photo of black smoke seen from the Hart Bridge.

Neighbors said the family had been having electrical problems. JEA came to the home after the fire was put out.
