The Florida Highway Patrol is continuing to monitor a wildfire in the area of US-1 and Shores Boulevard. off Monica Drive.
They are also watching a prescribed 400-acre burn in the area of US-90 and east of I-10.
These fires may affect roadways in St. Johns and Baker counties.
Motorist should use caution when traveling in those areas. A smoke or fog-type condition can limit visibility, especially during night or early-morning hours.
If you are driving in the area, reduce your speed as necessary to avoid a collision. You should also use your low beam headlights.
