Florida bus driver left kids 10 blocks from school to walk alone

A Florida bus driver is under scrutiny after leaving 24 children to walk unsupervised 10 blocks to school.

Angela Williams, who drives for Pinellas County schools, called 911 saying, “I feel somebody is pouring some kind of chemical on my bus,” according to WFTS.

The district carefully examined the vehicle and found no chemicals. Williams allegedly called once before about a similar incident, but no chemicals were found then either, WFTS reported.

Parents were upset that Williams made the children, in grades 6 through 12, walk alone to school, according to WFTS.

“I'm angry, so angry,” Wendi Carron, one of the student’s parents, told WFTS. “That someone would drop off children in an area that is not safe at 7 something in the morning to be walking around unsupervised. There is no reason.”

The district said Williams, who has been a driver since 2005, won’t drive until its completing its investigation.
