10-day back-to-school sales tax holiday begins Friday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida Senate has passed House Bill 33, which includes an extension of the back-to-school tax holiday from three days to 10.

The tax holiday will begin Aug. 7 and run through Aug. 16.

Items that will be tax-free include; clothing, footwear, wallets, and bags that costs $100 or less, school supplies that cost $15 or less, and the first $750 of the cost of personal computers and related accessories.
