Former JSO corrections officer arrested

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A former Jacksonville Sheriffs’ Office corrections officer was arrested Thursday.  Francisco Rodriguez was arrested on charges of conspiracy to introduce contraband into a correctional facility.

Rodriguez was a probationary employee at the start of the investigation. While on probation, he was terminated for falsifying his employment application with respect to his place of residence in February 2014.

The charges stem from an investigation started by JSO’s Integrity Unit.  The unit investigates possible criminal wrongdoing by employees.
