Former Latitude 360 manager starts new business for entrepreneurs

A Jacksonville entrepreneur is using the closing of Latitude 360 to open doors for new businesses.

As an operations manager at the failed Southside hotspot, Jordan Cole had to tell other employees that there was no money to cash their checks.

“It got to the point where I would open the safe and I would say, 'there’s nothing in there.' And if you think my check comes out of a different account, you’re mistaken,” said Cole.

Six months after Latitude 360 shut down, he’s starting his own business that helps other people start their own businesses.

It's called Feeding Frenzy, loosely based on the show Shark Tank.

Cole is going to hold events that connect local investors to local entrepreneurs.

“People like myself who want to work for themselves and do good for the community, I don’t need a million dollar check to do it. And that’s what I want to show inventors, and entrepreneurs and even musicians,” said Cole. “This idea is just going to branch out. And if we can hit every major city with an idea like this, there will be no good ideas gone un-found.”

Cole is working with a handful of his former Latitude 360 coworkers on the project.

The first Feeding Frenzy event is happening on July 20 at Dave & Buster’s.
