Funeral arrangements set for Florida Highway Patrol trooper hit, killed by car

Funeral arrangements have been set for a Florida Highway Patrol trooper who was struck and killed by a car in Alachua County on Saturday.

The family of FHP Master Sergeant William T. Bishop will receive friends Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Christ Central Ministries, 217 SW Dyal Ave, Lake City, 32024.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m., also at Christ Central Ministries in Lake City.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, located at 3596 South Highway 441, Lake City, 32025.

Bishop, 52, was a 30-year-veteran of FHP.
