Gainesville woman tries to stab Greyhound employee, assaults officer

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A woman was arrested after she tried to stab a Greyhound employee with scissors then later attacked an officer, authorities said.

Officers said it is unclear whether Dasia McQueen, 24, was mad or under the influence of narcotics or alcohol when she damaged a vehicle and tried to stab the Greyhound employee Wednesday.

After she was arrested at the bus station, officers said she managed to move the handcuffs around to the front of her body.

They said she scratched an officer on the face and bit the the officer on the arm once she got to the jail.

The officer wrestled with McQueen and Department of Justice staff helped the officer get her under control.

She is charged with aggravated assault, battery on a law enforcement officer and criminal mischief.
