Gator pulled from Georgia beach

Professionals captured a 10-foot gator that was swimming offshore near a Georgia beach on Friday.

FOX5 reported that the gator was pulled from the water at East Beach on St. Simons Island. Beachgoers said that the animal had been swimming in the water for more than two hours.

Officials estimated that the alligator was between 70 to 80 years old, based on its size. Officials said the high tide might have washed the alligator into the salt water.

There's no word on what will happen to the animal. No injuries happened during the incident.
