Healing Hands Rib Eating Competition

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Come out this Saturday and support Jacksonville's abused and neglected kids! It is the annual Healing Hands event at Woody's Bar-B-Q. Action News anchor Paige Kelton helps organize the event each year, with last year's event raising over $14,000 for the First Coast Child Protection Team.

The event will be held this Saturday, July 26 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Woody's Bar-B-Q on 1636 University Blvd South. A $10 minimum donation entitles you to the VIP party serving finger food, champagne, cake and ice cream.  Kids under the age of 10 eat free!

You will see some familiar faces out at the event! Action News anchor Mark Spain will be competiting in the rib eating competition and Jaxson de Ville will be there for the kids!

There will also be a silent auction featuring tons of donated from local organizations such as TPC, Papa Murphy's Pizza, Ponte Vedra Plastic Surgery, Slammer and Squire, Windsor Park, and much more!

100 percent of the proceeds go to the First Coast Child Protection Team Serving Jacksonville's Abused and Neglected Children.
