Report: Jacksonville indoor kids playground shut down after employee's bomb threat

A Jacksonville business was shut down for nearly a week after police said a woman threatened to bomb the business and kill employees.

Tamera Gibson was arrested and accused of sending threatening emails to Velocity Air Sports.

Police said the 20-year-old hid behind the email address youwillneverfindme72@gmail.com and sent multiple threats to kill certain employees and bomb the business and compared it to last month’s mass shooting at the Jacksonville Landing.

One of the emails read in part, “You heard about the Landing right? I’m gonna make it worse!”

According to the arrest report, Gibson is an employee at Velocity Air Sports, and because of the threats, the business closed its doors for four days.

Action News Jax went to the address listed in the police report for Gibson.

A woman answered the door, but all she said was, “God bless you” before slamming the door.

A neighbor, who didn’t want to be named, said it’s concerning to hear about the threats.

“You really don’t want to have anything like that happen in your neighborhood or be related with somebody in your neighborhood,” she said.

Police said they were able to track Gibson down by the IP address associated with the Gmail account.

They also got a list of all terminated employees from this business so far this year.

The general manager said she had nothing to say about the incident and didn’t want to make a comment.
