JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A Jacksonville family’s Christmas light display is getting national attention. Just last week, they were declared winners of the reality show, "The Great Christmas Light Fight."

Darren Huffty is the mastermind of this holiday operation and the lights are getting a lot of attention.

Huffty said he appreciates the recognition for his hard work, putting together these roughly 90,000 lights but there’s a bigger picture.

“We raise money every year for local charities, this year it's for Operation Homefront. We have a collection box up front and all the money we collect we give that back to charities,” said Huffty.

Huffty said the lights add an extra $100-$200 a month to the bill, but the lights are also LED lights, which saves money on the light bill.
