Jacksonville girl featured in Tim Tebow's Night to Shine experience film

A Jacksonville teen with down syndrome attended Tim Tebow's Night to Shine experience in February, a prom night event for people with special needs and is featured in the former pro-footballers foundation film.

Tori, 19, loves to sing and dance, and she spent a month alongside an immersive media company working with the Tim Tebow Foundation to share Tori's story.

Tori is living with her grandmother as her mom attends college in South Florida.

The experience has been difficult for the Jacksonville teen.

"This is the first time Tori has been away for her mother and it's been tough," said Lonna Kirkpatrick Newman, Tori's grandmother. "Watching Tori get together with all her friends, pick out gowns and jewelry, and getting makeovers - all the normal things that girls her age get to do is just a blessing."

"This is their opportunity to be king or queen of the prom. It's not just for one night. They can take that for the rest of their life knowing how much they matter," said Tebow.
