The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office detonated a possible military ordnance found near Genovar Park in the Bayard area on Wednesday afternoon.
JSO said someone was searching by the park with a metal detector and found something that looked old and potentially dangerous and alerted police.
JSO detonated the ordnance and said it was a 60mm ordnance, potentially from the 1940s.
