Jacksonville police investigating shooting off Stockton Street

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a reported shooting near Stockton and Irene streets.

JSO said around 9:45 p.m. an officer discovered an abandoned vehicle with blood inside of it along the southbound lanes of Stockton Street and I-10; the vehicle had crashed into a guardrail in the underpass.

The investigation has so far revealed that the victim was shot multiple times as he was driving south.

JSO said they are uncertain if there is one or multiple suspects.

The victim was located at St. Vincet's Medical Center and has non-life threatening gunshots wounds, according to JSO.
