JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are investigating after a man was found shot in the head Tuesday afternoon in Durkeeville.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said officers responded to the 1800 block of West 13th Street, near Susie E. Tolbert Elementary School.

Susie E. Tolbert was under a Code Yellow as a precaution due to the police activity, Duval County Public Schools said. All students and staff were safe.
The man was taken to the hospital and his condition is unknown at this time, police said.
Officers blocked West 13th Street in both directions between Fairfax Street and Spires Avenue until further notice.
