The Jacksonville's Sheriff's Office addressed the police activity on Pritchard Road on Thursday.
According to JSO, they confirmed that they are investigating in the area of Pritchard Road and Imeson Road.
In a tweet, the sheriff's office wrote, "We want the public to have accurate information. There is information that is being released that misleading and not accurate. No remains have been located."

Although they will not comment on their ongoing investigation, police said there is no safety concerns for the community to be concerned about.

Sky Action News Jax flew over the wooded area off Pritchard Road where a blue tent was found.
Police said they will notify the public when more information becomes available.
