Jacksonville police release sketch of rape suspect, photo of truck possibly tied to suspect

Police are searching for the man who they say broke into a woman's home Monday and raped her.

On Tuesday night, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released a sketch of the man and a photo of the truck that could be tied to him.

The police report said the man broke into the woman’s home, beat her, overpowered her, threatened her with a weapon and then raped her before driving off.

Neighbors told police they saw a suspicious truck in the area with Texas plates.

We showed neighbor Sarah Bisplinghoff the sketch and the photo.

"I think it's really important, so that way people can be aware of this man so no one else gets hurt by him," Bisplinghoff said.

Especially since the suspect is still on the run, she said she’s going to be sure to show neighbors the man’s picture and the truck.

"Especially my friends," she said.

JSO said the man is described as either white or Hispanic, with a bald head and no facial hair.

He appeared to be in his mid-30s with a thin build and about 6 feet tall, police said.

Police said he has tattoos on each arm and was last seen wearing a black shirt and khaki pants.
