MIssing 11-year-old found safe

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says 11-year-old Shayanna Addison was located around 11 a.m. Saturday and is safe.

The child disappeared Friday afternoon from her home on West 49th Street after being scolded by her mother for leaving her lunch bag and clothes outside.

Police said Shayanna walked out of the home and was seen by her brother picking up the items and running away.

Her brother ran after her but was unable to catch her. Police say an officer found her walking down a street.

After nearly an hour of police interviews at a family home, we saw police leading Addison away again.

A woman that we’re told is Addison’s mother got into the back of a JSO squad car and was also taken away.

Officers tell us the investigation is ongoing.
