Jacksonville shooting victim drives himself to hospital in bullet-riddled car

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for a suspect in a shooting that occurred Sunday in the Brentwood neighborhood of Jacksonville.

JSO told Action News Jax the victim was in the area to drop his girlfriend off for a hair appointment when two men walked up and shot the victim before taking off on Walnut Street in Brentwood.

The victim drove himself to UF Health in his bullet-riddled car.

JSO said they're not sure how the victim knew the suspects, but did say the victim hangs out in the area frequently and are working to learn what led up to the shooting.

Action News Jax is working to get an update on the man who rushed himself to UF Health.
