Jacksonville woman desperate to find her Chihuahua who foiled home break-in

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Kathy Lee is an animal lover and especially grateful to her little Chihuahua, Buddy

“Buddy saved me,” Lee said.

She said someone recently tried to break into her home.

“It was 7:15 in the morning and all of a sudden, the door just shattered. It was two fast kicks to the door,” Lee said.

She said she started to panic.

“I got 911 in this hand. I got Buddy in this hand,” Lee said.

She said the man tried to come inside her home.

“Buddy went crazy. He was barking. He’d of jumped down the guy's throat if he could’ve and the guy took off,” Lee said.

Lee said last week Buddy went outside and never came back. She’s been on the lookout for him ever since.

“His bottom jaw sticks out. His tongue hangs out. He walks on three feet,” she said.

She said she hopes someone finds him so she can feel safe again.
