Jaguars head to playoffs for first time in 10 years after Texans defeat

JACKSONVILLE. Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars are heading to the playoffs for the first time since the 2007 NFL season.

The team clinched its 10th win against the Houston Texans with a 45-7 final score.

Jacksonville embarks its seventh playoff appearance in 23 seasons.

Now, the Jaguars have four divisional wins in 2017. The team has won at least four games in the AFC South for the second time and the first time since 2005.

Sunday’s victory marks the team’s sixth home victory in 2017, their most since 2007.

The Jaguars shut out the Texans in the first half in Sunday's game.

The team had back-to-back sellouts at EverBank Field and the stadium was over-capacity for the game over the Texans.

The Jaguars fly to the west coast next week to face the San Francisco 49ers on Christmas Eve.

VICTORY 🙌: For the first time in ten years, the Jacksonville Jaguars are heading to the playoffs after a 45-7 win against the Houston Texans! Duuuval! http://bit.ly/2oyFlZF
