JEA is testing sewer lines for leaks in the San Jose area the week of July 14.

The testing identify areas that could allow rain or irrigation into the sewer system. JEA said it would notify customers if any plumbing issues were discovered on private property.

JEA suggests running a little water through the sinks and other plumbing fixtures to keep the smoke from coming into your home.

The smoke is not harmful to people or pets, JEA said.
