Crews searched Sunday for a man who fell into the St. Johns River near the North Florida Shipyard.
Police said the man who fell in the water is an employee of the North Florida Shipyard. A fellow employee saw the man fall into the water from the bulkhead of the shipyard around 1 p.m.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office marine and air units and the JSO dive team and homicide unit searched the water near Bay Street and Bryan Street.
The search continued into the evening. As of late Sunday night, the man still had not been located and the search had been called off for the night.
Porscha Jackson told Action News Jax the man missing in the water is her boyfriend Padmore Atkorah.
She said she wants the search for Atkorah to continue.
"It hurts. If it was their family, they would. They would want to exhaust the time. They would want to be out here searching all day until they can't search anymore," Jackson said.

Chris and I are downtown at the shipyard where JFRD says a man fell overboard. We’ve seen JSO detectives come and go. JSO says they can’t comment right now, but told me no medical examiner has been on the scene yet when I asked. @ActionNewsJax @WOKVNews pic.twitter.com/paT6oZKbDe

They told me I am not allowed past this gate when I tried to walk through. I can’t see any activity, but was told they’ll make a comment to the media later. @ActionNewsJax @WOKVNews pic.twitter.com/xemZ81wfT9

JSO tells us an employee here fell in the water from a dock. No foul play is expected. He says there was a helicopter and dive team called in. He says the man was wearing dark clothes and they haven’t found him yet. @ActionNewsJax @WOKVNews pic.twitter.com/6zJXl2NgGy

JSO is leading the search. JFRD, the Coast Guard and FWC are all here too. The man fell under around 1:15pm. He’s still missing as of 5pm. JSO tells me the St. John’s water is murky and has a current. They couldn’t confirm if he was wearing a life vest or knew how to swim. pic.twitter.com/ovKcwGDxuY
