JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Two people were shot Monday night after a man flagged them down and tried to rob them, police said.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a reported robbery with injuries in the 2300 block of Clyde Drive in northwest Jacksonville at 7:15 p.m.
When police arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. The men were transported to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life-threatening injuries.
The victims told police that they were flagged down by a man on foot near Prospect and Adams streets who attempted to rob them. When the victims drove away, the gunman began shooting at them.
After being shot, the victims drove to a home at Clyde Drive and Sixth Avenue.
The gunman is still at large and JSO's robbery unit is investigating.
