Second arrest made in murder of Jacksonville man lured over chat room

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said Friday that they have arrested a second man in the 2012 murder of Walter Nicholson.

JSO says Nicholson was lured to a Jacksonville location, robbed and killed. Nicholson had met another man through a chat room.

The murder occurred on Dec. 30, 2012. In 2015, JSO arrested a man named Ruben Palmer and charged him with the murder.

JSO said Friday that they have also charged a man named Mario Sims with the murder. Sims was already in jail on another charge and authorities intercepted letters that implicated him in the crime, JSO said.
