A Jacksonville Sheriff's Office police cruiser slammed into the back of a pickup truck that was stalled in the middle lane of the Buckman Bridge early Sunday, JSO said.

According to JSO, the officer was traveling northbound on the Buckman when his cruiser crashed into the stalled truck around 5:15 a.m.

The officer was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries, JSO said.
An investigation of the accident is ongoing, but JSO said it appears the officer was at fault.
