JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is moving the administration headquarters to Downtown Jacksonville.
The office currently at 100 N. Myrtle Avenue is relocating in December to 121 Atlantic Place while a new building is built.
JTA Public Relations Manager Leigh Rassler said the construction of the new administrative building is expected to be finished in the next four to five years. The building will be integrated with a bus transfer facility at the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center.
Rassler said the move allows the Myrtle office location to become an Operations Campus that moves Connexion management, scheduling and dispatch to the building.
JTA will also construct a new compressed natural gas facility and add 40 new buses over the next four years for the Bus Rapid Transit program, First Coast Flyer, said Rassler.
