Lee High School collecting college prep items for graduating seniors

Robert E. Lee High School is holding a fundraiser to help its graduating seniors get prepared for college.

Robert E. Lee is collecting a variety of items that college students typically need in their first year away from home.

“Some of our students cannot afford basic materials required for setting out on their own,” school officials said.

Donors can submit monetary donations on donorschoose.com. Those who wish to donate items can bring them to Robert E. Lee until May 15.

The following items can be donated:

·        Bed sheets – Twin, XL

·        Pillows

·        Standard Blankets - Twin

·        Bath towels

·        Face/wash clothes

·        Toiletries

·        Alarm clocks

·        Reading lamps

·        Laundry detergent

·        Plastic hangers

·        Shower caddies

·        Hamper/laundry baskets
