Lime Leaf Thai Restaurant in Jacksonville closed for rodent droppings, live roaches

This week’s big offender in the Restaurant Report is no stranger to inspectors.

Two years, seven follow-up visits and for the third time, Lime Leaf Restaurant on Tapestry Park Circle was temporarily closed.

Inspectors recently found seven live roaches, along with rodent droppings inside a wine storage rack, a mold-like substance in the ice machine and employee medicine stored on a prep table.

Sushi King in St. Johns was cited for having one dead roach, a stop sale on food not in wholesome condition and no proof of state approved employee training.

In Orange Park at the Whataburger on Blanding, inspectors found two dead roaches, grease on the floor and food contact surfaces not sanitized after cleaning.

The Arby’s in the 13000 block of Beach Boulevard was cited for having a live roach under the drink machine, potentially hazardous temperatures for safety and a slicer blade guard soiled with old food.
