Further investigation led detectives to obtain a search warrant for Rush's home at Lost Valley Campground in Starke.

Deputies learned Rush’s girlfriend, Amanda Wert, had paid their neighbor, registered sexual predator James Mort, to destroy computer evidence.

Mort admitted he destroyed computer evidence after Wert asked him to.

The computer allegedly contained child pornography and other criminal evidence.

Mort also confessed to committing illegal sexual acts with Rush and Wert.
