Man killed after vehicle fire

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and Jacksonville Fire Rescue found a man dead next to pickup truck fire early Thursday morning.

JSO and JFRD responded around 1:15 a.m. to the 5700 block of Lenox Avenue at Pugh's Automotive.

Police and firefighters found a pickup truck engulfed in flames. According to police at the scene, a man was found dead outside of the truck with burns to the majority of his body.

There is no foul play suspected and JSO says, "This is a tragic accident."

The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire and the medical examiner's office is examining the cause of death.
