Man killed in single-vehicle crash in Putnam

INTERLACHEN, Fla. — A 35-year-old man died Wednesday night in a single-vehicle crash on County Road 315, according to Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Dylan Bryan.

FHP responded to the call at 9:16 p.m. The orange Kia was traveling on CR 315 near Blue Gill Drive when the driver drove off to the right, overcorrected and struck a tree on the driver's side.

The driver was wearing a seat belt and speed is considered to be a factor in the crash, Bryan said.

An FHP news release identified the driver as 36-year-old Mark Mahoney.
