Man sent to UF Health, shot in Jacksonville neighborhood

A man in his 20s was sent to UF Health after being shot in someone's yard in Jacksonville.

Officers responded to the scene at St. Augustine Road on Thursday night.

The man said that someone inside a driving fired the shots.

A witness said someone drove by and fired several shots.

Officers said the man was shot once in his side and there's no word that the shooting is gang-related.

There are no suspects at this time and officers are speaking to other witnesses.

No other people injured, authorities said.
