Man sentenced in child sex case

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 36-year-old man received a lengthy prison sentence Tuesday in a 2011 child sex case.

Julian Belizaire was sentenced to 30 years in prison for the conviction of sexual battery. The sentence will be served consecutively with a 25-year prison sentence he received for a prior aggravated child abuse conviction.

A child told investigators about a history of sexual abuse between her and Belizaire in 2011, a State Attorney's news release said. Investigators found during the investigation that Belizaire forced the victim, who was 12 years old at the time, to have sex with him.
