Man shot in the ankle in drive-by shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police responded to Liska Drive in response to a report of a man injured in a drive-by shooting Friday night.
 
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the victim stated he was walking in the 5800 block of Liska Drive when a vehicle approached him and fired shots at him.
 
Police say one bullet hit the victim in the lower leg and the other struck a nearby vehicle.
 
Rescue workers responded to the scene and took the victim to an area hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
