Man shot in leg at Waters Edge Apartments

A man was shot in the leg Tuesday night at the Waters Edge Apartments in Jacksonville.

At approximately 11:03 p.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrived to the scene of 800 Broward Road where they learned a man with a gunshot wound to the leg was taken by a citizen to U.F. Health hospital.

Officers secured the crime scene and went to the hospital where they verified that the victim's injuries were non-life threatening.

Detectives are investigating the shooting and do not have any suspects.
