A man died at the hospital after he was shot while riding his bike in a Lackawanna neighborhood on Sunday.
Officers were called to the 3200 block of Hunt Street around 1:30 p.m. and found the man laying in the street.
Family members told Action News Jax the man is Terry Thomas. They said he was riding his bike to his aunt’s house down the road when he was shot.
“It’s sad, senseless killing,” said cousin Chris Murray-Thomas.
JSO said right now there are no suspects and no possible motives.
Officers say they’re not ruling out a drive-by shooting.
Thomas’ family can’t understand how he would have any enemies.
“The day we live in, it’s like every time you walk out of your house, someone’s an enemy toward you,” said Murray-Thomas. “It could be your next door neighbor, you never know.”
