JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police are searching for two persons of interest after a young man died after being shot several times in Hyde Park.
Officers were spread out investigating across several scenes Wednesday night.
At 6:20 p.m., the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office got a call of shots fired at the Nova Eagle apartments.

A man in his early 20s was shot in the parking lot of the apartment complex on Jammes Road.
Police were told that the victim was being taken to the hospital by an acquaintance.
The two made it to a nearby store on San Juan Avenue, where they were trying to get help.

Police and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department went to that store to help the victim, who was taken to UF Health Jacksonville and later died.
Police are searching for two persons of interest, who may be armed. They are also searching for a green Toyota 4Runner-type vehicle. Anyone with any information is asked to contact JSO at 904-630-0500.
