Man shot multiple times in Durkeeville area

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man with multiple gunshot wounds was found in a street in the Durkeeville neighborhood Saturday morning.

Police say the victim is a 32 year-old black male. His name has not been released.

It appears he was shot with a rifle, according to Sgt. Myers of the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Police could be seen investigating a car and shards of glass on Grothe Street but it's unclear how they might be connected to the shooting.

Rescue crews took him to the hospital but police say his injuries are not life-threatening.
