JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was arrested in connection with a suspected rape in Riverside.
Action News Jax reported the arrest of Anthony Dewayne Peck on Wednesday on charges of sexual battery and kidnapping. The police report obtained by Action News Jax revealed one women's terrifying account of what happened.
The attack was reported on Aug. 29, but the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office just released the report.
The victim told police that she left the Park Place Lounge around 1:30 in the morning when she blacked out and woke up in the passenger seat and a stranger driving her car.
JSO said Peck drove to an alley on College Street where he raped her. The victim told officers that the man fell asleep a few hours later, and she was able to get away.
Peck is due to be arraigned in court on Oct. 10.
