JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Marissa Alexander's court date scheduled for Friday morning has been postponed until Sept. 12 at 9 a.m.

The Jacksonville mother was scheduled to appear before a judge for a pretrial hearing.

She will be retried in December for firing a gun near her estranged husband and his children.

In July, a judge denied Alexander's request for immunity under Florida’s "stand your ground" law.
