Mobile disaster recovery center to close in Charlton County

The mobile disaster recovery center in Charlton County will close on Saturday.

People still in need will have until 6 p.m. Saturday evening to visit the center on Rosa Parks road in Folkston.

The mobile disaster recovery cent er is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day this week through Saturday.

Working with county officials, GEMA and FEMA closely monitored visits to DRC's to determine when centers need to close.

Centers close when traffic slows at those locations, which allows centers to open in new areas.
