The Florida Highway Patrol said a woman and her 10-year-old child died in a crash on the New River Bridge at the Union and Bradford County line in Lake Butler.
Troopers responded late Monday night to the crash.
The driver of a Ford F150, 19-year-old Christopher Driggers, crossed into the eastbound lanes of SR-100 and hit the front of a Honda Civic, FHP said. A Kia then hit the back of the Honda Civic, troopers said.
The driver and passenger of the Civic, Donna Crews, 41, and Kaelyn Crews, 10, were killed.
Diggers was seriously injured, as was the driver of the Kia, Viola Butts, 42.
Charges are pending. Officials are continuing to investigate.
